One year flew away....

It has been a year since I blogged here....Whew! That is such a looong gap......this shows that am pretty lazy when it comes to writing:))

In this 1 year, much has changed in my life.My status change being the first....From Miss --> Mrs..... Well this has been one of the biggest changes in my life and this was somethng which me and Anu were hoping for and trying for over the past few years....Everything went welll and am really thankful to god for this.....After shruggin off my initial bout of laziness, I even shared the wedding pics wit all our frends....:)

Bhoo was there for my wedding and we both had a nice time the previous day catching up on updates ....we were chatting so much ....that achan finally came to our room and ordered us to sleep cos we all had to et up early the next day...I miss u Bhoo.....hope to be there when you get married...

Then the next major change in my life is my move from Infy to Wal-mart....Lot of drastic changes on that front actually....After lot of discussion,deliberation,confusion and anxiety , I managed to get through to Wal-mart. The transition from the Insurance domain where I was working for past 2 years to the new retail domain was significant, When I first came to wal-mart, i did have an inkling that everythin out here wil be on a much larger scale...But....Large?? No....Humungous would be the more apt word......1.4 billion people work for this retail giant and their stores are open 24/7 , 364 days a week(except one holiday on Christmas)...The volume of sales each day is mammoth ..There are countless ISD teams that roll out applications to a target user base of 1 billion people on a daily basis......Any critical change needs to be approved by the director of the division so that it does not impact the stores and customers....Whew....Lots to learn and am still learning...


The next change in my life was moving out from cold and chilly Milwaukeee to a relatively warmer and quieter Arkansas.....I did miss all my frends in Juneau and Infy, and luckily I have been industrious to be in touch wit most of them even now..Touchwood....The place where am stayin now is a lot more quieter than Milwaukee, but I am likin it here too...I have made new friends and it is a good thing that our neighbours ravi and vidya are so friendly...!

One distinctive thing I can recollect of myself is those three horrible months in Milwaukee - Jan, Feb and March 2006, it was damn cold and I used to hate the walk to office...I was always covered in a minimum of two sweaters and one large jacket and I had a funny cap and a muffler that covered my entire face except my eyes....Pretty scary image..! I never used to feel the need to talk to anyone else who might be walking wit me to office cos I was more concentrating on reaching office to get back to the easy warmth of office....hahaha....very funny...

Apart from these changes, I am still the same old Jumping Jack...Watchin movies like crazy, listenin to all kinds of songs and memorizin the lyrics, researching and readin on every single piece of crap on the internet....I sometimes wonder what I gain by reading about stuff such as Indian american blogs, male pattern baldness, brain aneurysms and reviews of all movies from Imdb...but then thats me......!

I am now bac to bloggin, and hope to blog more frequently........
