Fitting Finale....

It's about time that I write my review of the final installment of the Harry Potter series "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"....After much hype and hoopla , I managed to get my hands on the pre-ordered copy rite on July 22nd itself....There were millions of predictions and speculations on who would die...I had my own....However JK Rowling has tread the thin line between the purists and the fans very carefully by presenting a "Bollywood-ish" ending where the protagonist dies and then comes back to avenge( yeah...This is a spoiler for those of u who haven't yet read the book :))

..The book starts at an energetic pace unlike her earlier ones where she used to write long drawn descriptions of each and every li'l thing(I used to find that quite annoying)..The dark lord is at large and is anxious to catch Harry...Harry, Ron and Hermione are on the run....All the three characters get ample roles with Rowling delving deep into Harry's conflicts and emotions....There are some spectacular escapes such as the one when they break into "Gringotts" , Harry's initial journey to the Burrow with the help of "Polyjuice potion".....The plans that Harry, Ron and Hermione concoct are juvenile and thoroughly natural...There is a little bit of grim humor too especially the part where Kreacher turns a new leaf , the Wedding of Bill and Fleur etc......I had a small inkling of doubt that Rowling was going to provide some kind of explanation for Snape's behavior...Lo and Behold!! The redemption of Snape is the most exciting chapter and my personal favorite in the book....

This one is a definite winner....My favorite book so far had been "The prisoner of azkaban" and "chamber of secrets"...Now this one is right on top of my list....Way to go Rowling..As I reached the last page, my heart was heavy bidding adieu to Harry....You will be missed Harry, though you are immortalized in the hearts of countless fans like me!
