Jane ...Queen of the Jungle

In the Dale Carnegie class, each session teaches a particular aspect of communication/human relationships. Yesterday's session was about stretching yourself beyond your comfort zone to achieve certain goals such as "voice modulation", "voice projection", "display intensity", "display enthusiasm" etc.....
So we were divided into little groups and asked to perform a small skit. First they called out the group that was supposed to do voice projection. We were supposed to select one person from the audience, and scream at them the following words with the highest projection of voice one could achieve -

"JASON! JASON!
DONT U EVER ..EVER .......CATCH ME!!!
BRUSHING YOUR DOG'S TEETH WITH MY TOOTHBRUSH!!!

Lolzzz.......first we did this a group and then individual members of the team have to come forward and do it. My turn came and I had to select someone from the audience to scream at ....Well, some opportunities strike once a while so I picked on poor thads who happened to have the misfortune of being in the same dale Carnegie class :))) I announced to all that I would like to scream at my husband and did the honors.....It was a hilarious moment and everyone applauded me.......I thought the worst was over and came back to the seat....

But no......I was again called as part of a group that had to do "voice projection "...! This time we had to do the following histrionics too....

- Act as if holding a tree root and swing from one end of class screaming "Oooooooooo"
- Beat chests (in king-Kong style)
- Scream aloud "ME! TARZAN KING OF THE JUNGLE!!!" ( Females could say "ME! JANE , QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE)
- ME! CALLING MONKEY! and then act like a monkey
- ME! CALLING BIRD! and then imitate a bird's call
- ME! CALLING DONKEY! and then bray like a donkey
- ME! CALLING JANE- WATUP? ( for females - ME! CALLING TARZAN - WATUP?)

Everyone did their individual performances and finally I was the last one left out...I somehow mustered all my courage and gave the performance of a lifetime...I did the braying of the donkey and the monkey antics particularly well ..! LOLzz......I think the audience loved this "realistic" performance and they voted me as the winner for the Award of that day!! I was presented withe the Dale Carnegie scrapbook that contains Mr.Carnegie's sayings...

Now who else can I thank but none other than the all knowing GOD who has created me as such a astonishing creature - a mix of primate, imp, and monster!!

hahahaha...I cant stop laughing when I think how well I clowned around...Anyways I enjoyed it all.....And I would recommend anyone who wants to improve their professional communication skills/strengthen their human relations to take the Dale Carnegie 12 week course. It is an absolutely unbelievable learning experience!
